Emergency Runs 2008
Last year was a busy one, but total runs were a little down from our highest levels ever in 2007. For 2008 we hit a total of 320 total runs. It is important to note that we do not provide medical first response.
Calls by Quarter
2008 was a typical year for us based upon the times of the year when our calls come. It's people who have fires and like the rest of Muskoka, Gravenhurst gets more people in the summer months. Our call volume rises through the year until the summer months and then dies off during the last quarter of the year.
Calls By Type
Our highest call type is False Alarms followed by MVC (Car Accidents) and followed by Burning Complaints. It's important to note that Structure Fires only account for six percent of our total runs.
